Video of the Week (12/8/13)

video-of-the-week1It’s Sunday night… and all is quiet in the house with no new True Blood to feed our need to see the Viking in action.

We know… it’s an  addiction we need to feed regularly with our “Video of the Week”. So it is oddly fitting that this week’s video is a “Crack!Vid” by jess9191. This particular video has been making the rounds over the past few weeks and now we are sharing it with all of you.

I feel like this video maker hit it out of the park with this one. If you agree, go show it some love on youtube.

And I don’t know about you, but my addiction was fed…. at least for another week.

About B

Really, there is never enough Eric... I'm loyal to the Viking, no matter what. I will love him whether in Book, Show, and just because... my first thoughts are of him and I close my eyes to dream of him. As far as I'm concerned, the night can not get here soon enough.

  1. B and E&SL-thanks for posting the video.

I’m not sure how I feel about the video itself. I’m sure a lot of work was put into it. I’m not trying to be rude or anything. I’m not telling anybody how to feel or what to do. I’m just being honest about my feelings. I got the sense that the video maker likes Sookie/Bill and dislikes Sookie/Eric. They’re allowed to feel how they feel, as am I. I’m still guessing Buckner might put Sookie with Sam in the end. again. If I can be honest here, I had a depressed reaction to the video. I can’t stomach the Bill character and can’t even look at the character. The character always gets away with his evil deeds and is always given more and more power. I had the sense that Ball was doing a subtle social commentary on abusive relationships, but I think Buckner might have hit the erase button on that as well. I don’t know. I just can’t make light of an abuser (character) being treated like a hero. I’m not trying to ruin anyone’s good time. The day “Let’s Get Out of Here” aired, I woke up depressed, because I knew that not-really-a-threesome dream was happening. I shed a tear during the Ghost Mavis/Ghost Baby/Lala/Jesus part of the episode, in part because of my depression, in part because I was moved by the scene. Again, I dont want to be rude. It’s just a fictional story. Obviously there are people who can have fun with this video, and of course that’s okay. I just personally found it sad. I’m reluctant to post this, because I’m not trying to start an argument here. I just had a bad reaction to the video is all. I hope it’s okay to post this.

    • Hey c’mon don’t feel sad my friend…cheer up :)… Look the way I see it, AB, BB, CH may sabotage the characters we love so much, as much as they want to, but I seriously refuse to let them spoil Eric for me…We got Eric out of this clusterfu** and I for one was inspired enough to start writing again because of him 🙂

We all know they are going to ruin s7…And we all get days when we are feeling depressed about where it went…Just rant all you want but get it out there and then cheer up :)…..

      • sakshichopra-thank you for your kind words, every single one of them. You make me feel so much better. I was very reluctant to post my original comments, and I’m still not sure if I did the “right” thing. I just wanted to be (respectfully) honest about my reaction to the video; certain edits and song choices made me uncomfortable/sad/depressed, and I had to turn away from the screen. It could just be the mood I’m in. I WAS able to laugh at some sarcasm about The Character We Despise the other day, so that’s a good sign for me. Again, I know it’s just a fictional story, and there are real things going on in the real world.

I need to stress that I intended no disrespect whatsoever to B and everyone at E&SL and the person who made the video. All I was trying to do is give my real reaction to the video. I hope I didn’t come off like the Thought Police, telling you guys what to do, how to think/feel, etc. Again, thank you for sharing the video with us, and I’m sure the video maker put a lot of work into it. My previous comments were not intended as any sort of personal attack. I hope I’m getting this across well.

        • Hey! It’s ok… I know the video wouldn’t appeal to everyone… I didn’t take your comments as a personal attack I swear

My intent is very tongue in cheek … And if I can’t laugh I’d be bald

          • B-thank you for being understanding. I wasn’t sure if it was a good idea for me to post my original comments (and I’m still not sure), but I did choose to post in that moment and I needed to deal with whatever happened afterward. In my time online so far, I am learning (sometimes the hard way) that my intent with my comments does not always come across. I wanted to make sure there were no bad feelings with my previous comments, so thank you for reassuring me so I can move on. And I agree: it’s very good to keep your sense of humor. 🙂 Necessary, in fact.

  2. Either this video was so fucking funny or theres is something really wrong with me but my innards are aching right now from laughing 😀

    • we are in the same boat then… the mix of song choices was hilarious.

Plus the fact it was labeled crack vid, was very tongue in cheek that i couldn’t ignore…

  3. Thanks for sharing this. Very funny.

  4. First of all, I will say that it must have been a lot of work putting the appropriate song clips to those video clips. My thought on the video itself, in one word, silly……………

    That is all.

  5. okay, can i just say i laughed my ass off at numerous spots of the video, i took it for what it was fun with video clips and music, the music was spot on for the clips..

  6. Very good video! It just had to much Bill for me. Thanks for sharing it with us.
