Relive the South Pole Trek… on line!

On Wednesday March 26th, NBC aired their special about the Walking with the Wounded trek to Antarctica this past December, entitled “Prince Harry’s South Pole Heroes”.

Which made my week. Because for a few weeks, those of us States side were stalking the internet for screen caps of our favorite Arctic trekker, Alexander Skarsgård, while our friends across the pond were watching the british version of the documentary  in real time. Let’s say they were scarce since Alex took part in the race/trek as a member of Team USA and they were featuring the UK team.

But our wait was over! I, like many of you, were able to watch the NBC special live… but for those of you who could not, we have video for you!

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Part 5

Part 6

Many thanks to judithdebeaufort83 for posting the videos.

I do admit, i started watching to see how much Alex would feature in this special. After watching, you can’t help but be moved as you learned more of the stories of our soldiers making the trek to the South Pole. Their drive, determination… soul…. are inspirations to us all.

I raise my glass to them.

About B

Really, there is never enough Eric... I'm loyal to the Viking, no matter what. I will love him whether in Book, Show, and just because... my first thoughts are of him and I close my eyes to dream of him. As far as I'm concerned, the night can not get here soon enough.

  1. B-Thanks to you and ESL and judithdebeaufort83 for sharing these videos of the WWTW documentary with us. I am happy and proud to say that I watched the documentary last week. I loved every second of it. It felt like feature film-quality to me: the way it was filmed, narrated, edited, etc. I also admit that Alex was a big motivating factor in me wanting to see the documentary. I, too, was very moved by the soldiers. I genuinely find them to be inspirational people as well. I hope that this documentary is one day released on DVD, with proceeds going to WWTW, of course. Again, thank you.
