HBO Press Release and Episode Synopsis

The powers that be at True Blood have issued a press release regarding the final season of this farce.

At the conclusion of season six of TRUE BLOOD, Sookie was forced to take a hard look at her future. Bill discovered that salvation comes at a price. And Eric’s ultimate fate remained a mystery. Meanwhile, the town of Bon Temps braced itself for a new crisis that would threaten humans and vampires alike.

TRUE BLOOD returns for its ten-episode, seventh and final season SUNDAY, JUNE 22 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO, followed by other new episodes on subsequent Sundays at the same time. Mixing romance, suspense, mystery and humor, the series takes place in a world where vampires and humans co-exist, after vampires have come out of the coffin, thanks to the invention of mass-produced synthetic blood that means they no longer need humans as a nutritional source.

The series follows waitress and part-faerie Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), who can hear people’s thoughts, and vampires Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård). Created by Alan Ball, the show is based on the bestselling Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris.

Did I read that right about who the series follows? Did I read that it follows Sookie, Eric and Bill? I have to ask you, our faithful readers, since when? I thought it was the Bill and Sookie show!

I find that I can’t really give a rats arse anymore! They have given us a lot of Eric, don’t get me wrong but to make it seem as if he was part of the original premise of the show is stretching it a bit!

Moving on to the first two episode synopsis of the final season, remember we are in for a bumpy ride!

Episode #71: “Jesus Gonna Be Here”: A band of rogue H-vamps crashes the vampire-human mixer at Bellefleur’s, withshocking results. As Sookie (Anna Paquin) seeks refuge from accusations that she’s somehow to blame for the chaos in Bon Temps, the “one vampire for every human” plan moves forward. In the face of a vigilante insurrection led by redneck Vince (Brett Rickaby), Bill (Stephen Moyer) receives aid from an unexpected source.Written by Angela Robinson; directed by Stephen Moyer.

Episode #72: “I Found You”Debut: A trio of hostages taken in the Bellefleur’s attack looks to a familiar face as apossible liberator from the H-vamps. Sookie and Jason (Ryan Kwanten) visit the neighboring town of Saint Alice, where a young woman’s diary offers clues to the potential fate of Bon Temps. Spurned by Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis), a desperate Lettie Mae (Adina Porter) turns to Willa (Amelia Rose Blaire) to channel her family past. Vince whips his fellow vigilantes into a dangerous frenzy. Pam’s (Kristin Bauer van Straten) search for her maker leads her to a very familiar place.Written by Kate Barnow; directed by Howard Deutch.

Not that I care about Sookie all that much anymore due to how she has been written, how can she possibly be to blame for what happens in the first episode? This is where the writers baffle me to no end. The Governor and his cohorts are one of those to blame for poisoning the synthetic blood. Second to blame would be Bill for blowing up the factories in the first place but all this is moot now anyway!

Thoughts? Feelings? As usual, sound off below! The full press release can be read HERE

RIP True Blood!

  1. How is this Sookie’s fault? Is this an attempt to try and make her seem important or make the audience feel bad for her? I don’t really care what happens to Sookie anymore.

I just hope the other characters I like (Pam, Lafayette, Eric) get some kind of ending that makes sense and provides closure.

    • Yeah I did not get how she can be blamed either. It is just another example of the writers throwing crap at the wall and hoping it makes sense and it sticks to us!

  2. Guys, I think HBO laid out Synopsis for the ep guide, because people are taking the Buckner and Alex’s statement in TV Guide serious.

I always believe Buckner’s trolling with the fans, because we keeps getting the same old BC from Buckner when everytime they interviewed. I think he’s saying those idiotic words coming from his mouth because the beginning of season.

Alex on the another hand, I believe TV Guide interviewed Alex when he was doing Ep 2 at the time and he was talking about the beginning of the season. I think Alex was saying Eric realizes he isn’t the best guy for Sookie since season 5..Remember he said F**k Sookie in season 5???…I have a funny feeling I think when he realizes Sookie isn’t the 1 for him,but I have a feeling he will regret it by letting go of Sookie, because I heard a luv interest called Sylvie for him and I believe She’s the 1 who effected him with Hep V and the writers are going to make Pam finds him as a bloodthristy monster (because there’s pics of him with, I fear it could their way the writers screwing with us…I remembered someone theorized he’ll went bersak and put all his rage out on Douchbag when he shown up and creak havoc. This theory gave me a sick feeling that it could be true, but It makes me think it’ll happen only the beginning of the season… But I believe Sookie somehow have to do to cure him.

I do think they’re going into different direction in the middle season, because they did that with last 2 seasons….Everyone thought Roman will be the Big Bad in season 5,but he got stake….Don’t forget, a lot of people was hyped Ben and they think he could be Sookie’s soulmate, but he turned out to be Sookie’s parent’s killer Warlow. There’s also the governor and Willa, governor didn’t last long as a Big Bad and his mistress Sarah took over. About Willa, she supposed to be in 3 eps,but she’s a series regular….Thinking of, Remember Amelia stated the season 7 will start out like season 1,but everything will go into a new direction and everything will come 2gether….Amelia also quoted that everybody are expecting how the show would end,but she said the writers are going to shock us with the ending…..we all known Buckner’s planning to rebuilding “Sookie luv Billy” sick-omance from the ground to up,but I think his secretly plan’s he’s going to tear it down with the help from our viking.

    • Shelli, we have been doing this gig here a long time, some more than others and have learned to read between the lines as to what is really being done.

Synopsis are always given out so it is not because of any statements that have been made. I think you are going to be very disappointed in some areas. Buckner and company are not trolling, they have no reason to.

      • I am sorry,Nymerias, that I startled you like that. 🙂

I known, but I can’t denied the fact that couldn’t be it’s true or not. I don’t trust that jerk Buckner at all,but I am pretty convincing he could be messing us when he keeps up “Billy luv Sookie” cr*p and the article doesn’t make sense to me at all… I remembered we Eric fans got screwed over in the 1st ep last season and I have a funny feeling inside that he and his writers will screw annoying douchbags(Billy) fans over and they are going to give a crazy twist in the middle of the season like they did with last season….I could be wrong and heartbroken at the same time.

l known you and others disagreed with me,but I’m always on your guys’ side…I can’t stand sicko Billy. I can’t hardly look at that douchbag’s face on Facebook. It makes me to want to vomit when I looks at his face. When I always looks at Billy boy, he always made me think of his freaking bloody Billith. It’s most disgusting thing I had ever seen on T.V. in history!!! Why someone want to end up with the sh*t like that?!!!!

if it’s true about the final season will be about Billy luv Sookie cr*p, I think the idiotic writers want to save Anna and Steve to becoming a brink of direvore. I read somewhere online that their marriage on the rock and they got the source from Starz magazine. I known Starz isn’t a reliable source and it’s a gossip magazine…If true with the twitter,CH, and idiotic Buckner’s statement, i said “Go F**k it”!!! (like you guys said).

1 thing that really worry me the most that they’ll might make Eric into the main villain in the story and tried to use Sookie to find the faeries for him. I would hate to see that happening. 😦 😦 😦

Well, Thanks Goodness!!! I got Fallen Skies to watch, because I told my parents to cancel HBO after Game of Thrones. I think Game of Thrones’s way better than True Blood. I am looking forward Alex’s career and outside world. 🙂 🙂 🙂

  3. I wouldn’t even say the show was about Bill and Sookie – it’s pretty much all about Bill. His character and Stephen Moyer were Alan Balls’ muse and the whole show has revolved around him since the first episode. This crap about it being Sookie’s fault? You can be sure that it’s part of yet another absurd storyline or Bill lays a huge guilt trip on her yet again. And now Lettie Mae is going to be a fixture too. Has everyone in Bon Temps forgotten what a self-indulgent nasty bitch she is and always was? apparently they have. Tara is only on the show as a token ethnic minority character and I’ve hated her from the start. All she is about is anger. She’s gone from bartender to cage fighter and from vamp hater to loving being a vamp herself – a ridiculous character like so many. Next time I write on here I’ll rant about what an absurd character arc Jason has taken and after that how stupid an idea it was to introduce Jessica just to prop up Bill’s character.

When the show is finished I am going to write a very long diatribe about all the reasons the show has got me so fucking furious – you have been warned

    • I don’t think I have ever agreed with someone so much! Evrryone and everything has been used as a plot device. I have been so warned, I might invite you to double rant post with me! Lol

  4. Does anyone remember the Simpson’s epi where Homer gets a hold of the secret manuscript from the writers and reads all their main plot points live on TV? At the end he followed the plots with the phrase…”with shocking or sexy results” I died laughing over here just reading whoever constructed the juvenile writing for epi 7.1.

It’s like the writer’s “forgot” what happened in previous seasons/series. Why the self hatred now Sookie? This was a story about a strong girl with a curse of telepathy in a human world and then later discovers she is actually part of the Supe community….right?

Ugh! I feel a bad break up coming on…Just like the last CH book, I’m over True Blood.

It’s not me, it’s you True Blood, you saw the writing on the wall and you didn’t adapt to the change in our relationship. I feel that we should part ways, where I can get the action/adventure/romance and fantastic writing that you clearly can not give me. I hope you enjoy your future writing bad kitty liter commercials. LOL! 🙂

  5. I have a bad feeling that something big will be revealed about Rats incident, mark my words – in order to have B&S HEA they have to clear this up ..I think all this ‘things are not as they seem’ smells really ominous to me. I also think that Niall may play a significant role.
We need a bottle of something strong and a bucket ready from the start.

    • If we are going to have yet another Rat reveal then the writers are as desperate and lacking in creative thought as I believe them to be already.

    • In my opinion the Ratrays incident is a non issue as she already forgave and forgot about it. To bring it up now in that Eric was involved (if that is what u were thinking) would be a plot device but hey what am I saying? Lol but as far as clearing it up, that was already done as she forgave and forgot!

      • When she forgave and forgot is when I lost all respect and affection for Sookie I think,,,, oh no wait, that started when she banged Bill’s brains out knowing full well that he’d had sex with Lorena. The moment she became Sookie Doormat only emphasised when she did the forgiving and forgetting.

        • Nailed it! This is one just one of the major ways in which they ruined the show!

          • Ha, ha…I still don’t get that she just forgot about it…ok maybe one can forgive..but to consider him again as her lover and dump Eric not ever giving him a chance is hard to understand…then they deserve each other but what a bad message it sends…
In terms of Rats business..i didnt rally think of Eric as that wouldnt make sense…but more of something that would further redeem him….who knows maybe he was held in silver chains or he was there with sophie anne…

        • Yeah even after all these years, I do not understand how Sookie can forgive and forget so much with Bill and doesn’t show the same christian forgiveness with the other vampire in her life. Oh no sirree! That other one she drops like hot potato whenever the least bit of difference of opinion comes up.

          I don;t understand her. And I don’t respect her.

          • Case and point! How can she say that she wants to be “a good person” blah blah blah, and then think that’s she’s going about it by “forgiving and forgetting” what the douchebag did to her, but not apply that to the Viking?

            Double standards much?

      • There has been spec that Eric will be blamed for the Ratt Attack…that Eric was watching Beel watching the Rattrays beat Sookie so Beel could give Sookie mind-altering blood. Yeah, it was Eric’s fault. It was all Eric’s fault. Controversy. I could see Buckner/HBO going there. Harris will love it.

        • Yes because that makes so much sense. LOLZ

          • Considering this is the same person who basically erased at least two seasons of plot development in about 30 minutes of television, all is possible, I guess. 🙂

          • This is true! They would have to explain that really well because Eric did not even know her.

          • Maybe Bucky decided that Eric was in cahoots with Sophie-Anne AND Warlow and Niall somehow all this time? Maybe that’s why Niall comes back? What was that speech that Warlow gave to Sookie that I didn’t watch? Something like, “I want to f*ck you and own you and use you for your blood.” Maybe Bucky decided those are Eric’s thoughts, too. I give up, lol.

          • LOL yeah best not to think too much on it, you might do some damage!

  6. F*ck Sookie and her precious fairy vag’ 😛

  7. It looks to me like Stephen (Bill) has a lot of control on how the show ends. I’m dreading the last season and wondering how much of Eric and Pam we will get to see. Sounds like very little to me and that’s so disappointing to me and lots of other Eric fans.
Guess it should of been called the Bill and Sookie show since they are already married.

    • Howard Deutch, the director of TB ep. 7×02, has a project in the works for SM/AP production company for HBO.

  8. This once promising show has been turned into a MAJOR FARCE!!!
HBO should be ashamed of themselves.
They agreed with Charlaine Harris’s choicee as the person who adapted
    her books for the screen.
Ms.Harris made a major mistake in her choice of Mr.Ball to adapt the books
for television…He never followed the books but wrote what he wanted,
He spoiled what could have been a wonderful series by adding characters
that were NOT valuable to the “Core Characters”

And with what is being written for the final season of the show I’m appaled
at the writers….Now they say that they’re going back to the core characters
after taking the fans on a journey that’s become a train wreck!!!!
There are fans out there who could write rings around the
“So called Professional Writers” and these fans do it out of love for
the characters Ms.Harris wrote in the Original books!!!

The biggest lie that the writers try to force down the fans throats is the
relationship of Sookie Stackhouse & William Thomas Compton III.
They know that they have to keep certain actor/actress happy….
Cause Alan Ball said that he wrote the series for Stephen Moyer…..
There wouldn’t be any other love interests for Sookie…Only Bill Compton.

BUT the fans of the show, and especially Season 1.Episode 4 know better.
Episode 4 “Escape from the Dragon House” was when we first got a
glimpse at Vampire Eric Northman, wonderfully played by
Swedish Actor, Alexander Skarsgard who litterly stepped out of Book 1.
Whoever cast him ought to be congratulated!!!

Unfortunately the fans of the show who love Eric Norrhman won’t get to
see him rekindle his romance with Sookie…

  9. Nymerias, I want to Thank you for telling it like it is and pulling no bones about it!! Also, it appears after reading the above comments, I am not the only one who has been continually disappointed, depressed and amazed that they can get away with all the horrible storylines and terrible character assassinations that have taken place over the last 6 years, in some instances, even worst than the maker of the characters, she who will not be named.

Sookie is definitely not the character she was in the books, but that is because she has to be stupid in TB so she can go back to Billy boy. Even in the beginning, AB told us they were the end story of True Blood as they were the “soulmates” of the story. Of course, I (and most of us) didn’t want to believe that, especially when Eric Northman came into the picture and even tho he became the number one character in the series, they (the writers and producers of TB) had to try and assassinate his character too.

I’ve got news for them, I prefer to think like a lot of other fans of his, and say that True Blood ended at the end of season 5, when Bill melted into goo and Eric and Sookie came running out of the Authority. After that point in my mind, it is all a bad dream, including whatever they show in season 7. I cannot in my mind or heart see Sookie with Bill. I’d rather not watch the last season at all, like I didn’t read the last book even tho I’d invested all those years into them heart and soul. To be shat on like that is one thing and then the TV adaption to also shat on me??? You know the old saying, Shat on me once, shame on you, Shat on me twice and shame on me. I refuse to have it happen to me again!!!

As I said before, I will maybe watch the show (I’m still on the fence on that) but will probably just DVR it and watch it (maybe) at a later date when I have healed my hurt abit, just to see the stupidity of the whole thing. So sorry to be so long, but it felt good to get this off my chest. I will take my leave for now and I’m sure I’ll be back bellyaching about something by the next post.

Forgive me for being so negative but at this point I can’t be positive for the moment……….

    • Your welcome! I try and in the respect of telling it like it is and making no bones about it, well I always have a little help from friends!

  10. Ladies/Fellow TrueBlood fans:
I think you know my feelings about the show.
I’ve been a loyal fan but this whole mess with the final season has just really
tested me to the breaking point!!!
The writers Alan Ball & Brian Buckner have tried my patience and I’m just furious
with them and their lack of the professionalism they showed the fans who looked
to them for an enjoyable series…..AND these so called writers well if you ask me
they dropped the ball major big time…They should be ashamed of themselves.

They call what they wrote “entertainng” and that they followed the books
that were written by Charlaine Harris….Alan Ball didn’t follow the books
And the show was far from entertaining…no it was more confusing
    than entertaing….
I’m callinng HBO and telling them of my displeasure with them.

  11. Ohhhh, one more thing, Long Live Fanfaction, I truly hope the stories continue on for a long time to come!!!!!!!!!

  12. Thanks Nymerias! My internet is going wonky today and your comments were as snarky as mine would’ve been. LOL As for your question about how it’s a show about Sookie, Bill & Eric…don’t you remember they like to pull out the “Eric card” whenever they’re feeling desperate? 😉 I think they might be feeling the heat…so to speak. LOL

As for the synopsis themselves….YAWN. The only thing I’m looking forward to is Pam ‘s search for Eric. What familiar place? Hmmm…. I agree too, it makes no sense for Sookie being blamed for the Zombie vamps. WTF? Why can they NEVER blame Bill?

    • Oh silly me for forgetting about the pulling of the ‘Eric card’! smh!

      • I also noticed that all of a sudden they remembered that there is an Eric in this show. He’s always trotted out by HBO/Showrunners/PR Dept whenever things aren’t going well or they can see fans either pissed or running away in disgust or they need to sell something. (That author did the same thing to keep us buying). They will show him naked, half dressed or just his face alone to suck his fans back in. Problem is they have used this trick so many times and then shat all over his fanbase that nobody (should) believe them anymore! I sure don’t. Reading the news and spoilers floating around leads me to believe what little Eric (and Pam) we will be seeing once this shitshow get rolling will NOT be favorable. He is likely going to need to be weak, or sick, or somehow a compromised in order to prop up he toddler vamp with the god complex. Remember the crotch grab from last year. I think that is just a prelude to the awful things we will be “treated” to this season. The whole history of the show and everything we have been shown up to now will be retconned, twisted, whitewashed (for Bill) and otherwise turned upside down in order to accomplish their goal. Sacrifices will be made by all the other characters to keep Bill relevant. I stopped caring about an Eric/Sookie HEA quite a while ago after realizing that is was never to happen. This Sookie they have written on this show is no where near good enough for Eric and I am going to be super pissed if we have to see him mooning over her one more second! I want him to have lots of screentime, a proper Viking storyline with proper Viking badassness. No more weak, whipped puppy, lovesick sap!

  13. Redthang914:
I see that you’re also annoyed just like I am…
And you also don’t agree with AB’s “soulmate” tag on Bill/Sookie….
This has always shown me of Ball’s crush on Stephen Moyer….
I love your thinking of how the show should have ended after
Bill turned to a pile of goo…and not regenerated into flesh?
That would have been a much better endiing than what we were
    given in Season 6….

  14. Erika:
They never want to blame Bill Compton cause he’s supposed to be “THE HERO”!!!
And Alan Ball had made promises to his portrayer…
The fans who love Eric Northman are being craped on again…
And the writers will Never admit this fact.

    • I think Sookie suffers from abuse, why else would she keep going back to Bill after all he did to her. With all the ugly things she hears about herself, she must not think she deserves anything better than Bill. She could do much better.

      • I gained hope from all the excellent, intelligent speculation that Sookie was mind-controlled by Bill’s blood and, in time, all (or at least some) would be revealed. Sookie would grow a spine and fight to get away from her boring rapist. Boy, was I naive. DEA/AD: The Sequel. Just as I suspected.

BTW, maybe I should change my name to stepfordsookieandsealsexsamaretheonetruelove 😉 .

        • No, I like Sookieandericare1trueluv better. I think it’s lovely name.

        • Or get a brand new one altogether! 🙂

          • Maybe I will. Right now, I’m stubborn and sticking with headcanon and reading real-life fanfic. The name reflects that. 🙂

          • Yeah When I used my tablet, my last name shown up,but my last name didn’t shown up. Nymerias, you got really cool name. 🙂 🙂 🙂

            I don’t blame you,Sookieandericarethe1trueluv, for your spinning around circles right now. 🙂 🙂 🙂

  15. Eric and Pam are the OTL. They are the only two characters in book and show who have actually been able to show any semblance of what true love really means. 🙂

  16. Guys,I am sorry I don’t want to bring this up again, but I noticed something underneath Alex’s interview on ASN … I remembered Anna Paqin on Tonight Show with David Letterman last year when she was talking about ep 3,she said something was complete opposite like she said that Sookie’s over sicko Billy, but it’s another way *eyeroll*…..I thought about this after I overheard Someone else’s comment on ASN that said Sam did that when somebody asked him about Luna’s alive or not last year and he answered “Yes,She’s alive and well”,but we found out she just died in season 6 ep 1….I remembered Joe said something was similar to Alex said with “he isn’t the best man for her” at the the season 6,but Alcide ended with Sookie anyway….I don’t known that Alex’s saying it’s true or lead misdirection like the other actors did that, but I known Alex’s way smarter than joe. Probably he’s joking like he normal do and he don’t want give away what’s going to happen later on this season….I don’t known. :/

I wish Lettie Mae die already as same for Sicko Billy. I have a funny feeling that she’ll poison Willa next. I really hope Pam and Eric will kill that b**ch soon. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Probably I’m right with my Rikki theory that she and Alcide’s former pack are the 1s who released the hep V vamps on the town.

If Eric won’t end up with Sookie,I hope he ends up with Willa. 🙂 🙂 🙂

  17. LOL I cant stop laughing at the fact that they said the show was about Sookie, Bill and Eric.. Like really?? When???
Do they think fans are that dumb to buy into their cheap PR stunt to get people to buy HBO for the final season…? I’d love to be wrong but after everything weve heard about the season and the severe lack of Eric in ANY of it, how on earth do they expect us to believe that Eric will be a major factor in S7??
    I cant, I just can’t!!

  18. I have to say, I don’t always mind them going off on their own from the books, I LOVE LaFayette, I don’t even mind Jessica and I am kind of glad Jason was not a werepanther… Also, it gave me hope that maybe they would have the balls to give the fans what they really wanted in the end, especially after CH failed to do so. Granted, these characters were hers and if she truly meant for Sookie to end up with Sam… I applaud her for staying the course despite friction among her fans. However, I can’t help but feel like she only went the Sam route because she didn’t want people to think she was conforming to the fans, she didn’t want to be labeled a sell-out by the critics. That is why the ending felt so rushed and forced. I am still holding out hope that the writers of the show will pleasantly surprise us all. We all know that occasionally they mislead us to the point where we have to watch just to see. I hope they are not stupid enough to make her end up with Sam or Bill. I personally WOULD prefer Eric, but honestly even Warlow would be acceptable to me. Or even a werewolf who has shown her more care than Sam or Bill. I am sure I will be disappointed, but I really do hope they are just keeping the finale under wraps so we will be surprised when it does go in a better direction than the fans hoped. We will see what happens, but I do want closure for Pam and Eric. I am keeping my fingers crossed with little hope.

    • Caledonia,Same as here..I wouldn’t stand to see Sookie end up with douchbag what Buckner stated nor her with Sam that CH wrote. I believe Alcide’s spelling trouble to me,because I believe Sookie’s falling for the same mistake like she did with Debbie ..I would be surprise she will end up with Eric unexceptly, but Alex said that he isn’t the 1 for Sookie….I don’t known he’s joking or not,but I have a feeling he’s keeping things quiet and telling what’s happen to him in the beginning.(He’s a sweetheart in real life, I don’t blame him for that. 🙂 ❤ )…I don't believe the article, because I known there's more to it than those words after I saw pics and they are trying sneaking to hide what's going on the rest of season…I hope I am right…Probably we are going to get a big, ultimate surprise….I don't have any clue….I am going to miss mucho Jason, Pam's snarkness, and Laffy's flamboy.

      • I am definitely going to miss Pam’s snarky remarks and her big huff and puff arguments with Eric! I also agree about LaFayette, he was definitely one of my favourites =) I really hope we are all surprised and pleasantly so with how this will end. There is a reason so many fans love Eric, and we loved him before the TV show (so also before Alex). He truly has something that is just unlike any other character in the books, and the TV show, even with all of the differences, is no different. Eric will always stand out because he has the most capacity for change when needed while still being consistent in his own way. But, even if CH and AB don’t believe he is her soulmate, hopefully AB will choose someone more worthy. PLEASE! *crosses fingers*

        • Caledonia, Just ignore Sookieandericarethe1trueluv.

I really hope so,too,Caledonia. 🙂 🙂 🙂 I am totally agreed, Alex’s very down to earth and I remembered he’s very sweet.adorable and very funny…Kristin and him got along so well. I am hoping Kristin make a return on Once Upon a Time in midseason next year as a regular after Snow Queen…Probably the surprise have to do with Eric, because there’s a spoiler and I had mentioned it relently in my previous comments..Someone asked me to pulled it after I mentioned and i think Sookie have some part in it…I hope I am right. If I am wrong,I am wrong…Let cross our fingers if we gets a surprise in the life, shall we? 😉

          • Shelli-What do you mean, ignore me?

          • Shelli don’t be rude as no one was being rude to you. She was very respectful while stating her opinion to you and Caledonia and even asked for you two to have hope for her. Your ‘just ignore’ comment was uncalled for.

          • You should apologize, I insist. No one gets rude with you. If I had made the same comments (and I have) you would not have told someone to ignore me. Show other posters the same respect that has been shown to you and that you would show me or Evie, Erika or B. Thank You!

  19. Shelli and Caledonia, I don’t mean to be so Debbie Downer (as I often am here, lol), but I take every TB person’s words literally now. When BB says that Sookie changes forever, I think it’s further confirmation of my suspicion that she will get rid of her fairy powers, probably by killing a vampire du season like The Figure. Then she’ll get her wish to be “normal”/human. I think Nicole will be killed off (that might be the “emotional” TB scene that Sam Trammell said he recently played the other day when he was on Reddit). Then that will free up Sam so that he and Sookie can be tossed together at the last minute. Maybe in the finale, the first half will be the battle where Sookie loses her fae-ness, then there will be (another) time jump in the second half and Sookie and Sam get married, with CH playing “director.” I think CH’s presence on the TB set means that she likes where BB is going. I think they want people to think that Sookie will become a vampire and spend forever with Bill, hence the poster with Sookie with the blood on her face and the tooth/fang peaking out of her mouth. I think THAT’S misdirection. I think Alex/Eric will be filler to sell the season. As someone said elsewhere, Alex/Eric is the ca$h cow who will be milked until HBO puts him out to pasture. I know I’m “dark,” but I’ve been resigned for a while. TV Guide confirmed it for me. To end this on a positive note, I respect both of you continuing to have hope for the show. I don’t, so maybe you can please have hope for me, too? 🙂 Take care.

    • I am sorry, sookieandericarethe1trueluv, I am sorry about that. I just don’t want nobody’s feeling. I am sorry I didn’t mean to offense you like that.

Let hope we get a surprise is that good news,OK? 😉

      • I meant I don’t want nobody’s feeling get hurt.

      • Thank you Shelli, I appreciate that! 🙂

        • You’re very welcome, Nymeria. 🙂

          • Shelli-I accept your apology. We have always had such nice interactions before, which is why I was surprised when you told Caledonia to ignore me. I have no problem disagreeing about things with you or anybody. I do always try to express my opinions respectfully. I thought that I was nice to you and Caledonia in my original comments. Also, I don’t feel that I said anything in my original comments that I pretty much haven’t said here at ESL before. I felt dismissed by you, which is not something I would have expected from you.

Nymerias-thank you so much for the kind words. I’m smiling as I’m typing this. 🙂 It’s all good.

          • Nymerias- 🙂 .

  20. Omg trueblood has a promo that says ‘relive TB’s one true love story ‘sookie and bill’ how did this happen!!!!!!

  21. Unlike everyone else here I loved the ending of the book that shall not be named (Dead Ever After) by the author who shall not be named (Charlaine Harris) even though it was the poorest written of all the Sookie books. I just had to get that out there because I get pissed at people not feeling able to mention a book and author by it’s name whatever their reason for disliking it.

As I’ve said before True Blood isn’t about Bill and Sookie – it’s about Bill because Alan Ball had such a boner for Bill and Stephen Moyer. Sookie has treated the people around her like shit. Example 1: Season 1 Sam sees Sookie taking vitamins and says he’s never seen her take vitamins before, her response “I don’t have to justify myself to you”, hang on a minute sweetie – he only made a passing comment to you and that’s what he gets – what a bitch. Example 2, Sookie turns up for work the day after the Maenad attack and without giving Sam any warning announces that she won’t be at work for a week or so. At least Sookie in the books arranged cover for her when she had to be somewhere. Then she has the nerve to give him a lecture about throwing away years of friendship when she knows full well that she was much more than that to him. I could go on.

The point is after the examples above and there are many more, she has the balls to turn up and in season 6 say she always thought they might end up together! You cheeky bitch! She doesn’t deserve him. Why Sam is so disliked on this site I don’t know – I’m just glad he told her where to go although I wish he had used more explicit language to get his point across. The only remaining characters I can say I like are Willa, Sam, Laffayette and to a certain extent Eric the rest I have no investment in. Aside from the obvious evil one the characters I dislike the most are Tara who I loathed from the start and Pam and of course Alcide. When you only have an emotional investment in so few characters you know the show has long since descended into a ridiculous farce not worth remembering and that is what the show is but you can magnify that a thousand times once this awful season 7 starts and finishes. End of rant

    • You can mention it John all you want, no one ever said you or anyone else could not so there is and was no reason to get pissed (your words) at all. If you notice, it is more of a joke (she who must not be named i.e. Voldemort) and same with book just shall not be named. Surely, you saw the joke there and that most people have used her name and the title of her book. Again, glad you liked the end of the book but respect the fact that out readers didn’t. Just like we respect the fact that you loved it.

Now back to the show talk, I don’t mind Sam at all and I hope he continues to look at her like she is 12 kinds of crazy for her to have suggested they get together. I did not like the scene where she said that to him last season because it makes much less sense in the show than it did in the book. So for me, it is less about not liking Sam and more about WTF are they trying to spin here? Since when has she been interested in him? Try never! It made me wonder if they all of a sudden wanted to be somewhat book canon? They never really cared to be canon before, so why now? I think that may be the feeling these ladies have but I know it is mine.

      • For what it’s worth, and I only speak for myself of course, I don’t dislike TB Sam (I’m much more familiar with the TV show than the books). I just lost interest in the character in s3 and started fast-forwarding through him (and others) in s5 (the first TB season I did not watch in its entirety, but kept up with through recaps). I think BB wants to do an ending that would make CH happy. Hence, CH revealing that BB gave her a cameo as a director in the series finale.

I don’t feel that TB has done a good job building up to a Sookie/Sam HEA. They did a Bill/Sookie/Sam triangle in s1, then in the s2 premiere, they seemed to kick Sam out of the triangle and replace him with Eric. Then, the Bill/Sookie/Eric triangle went on for three straight seasons (with teases of Alcide, but not Sam). Then, in s5, AB put Sookie/Eric on the back-burner (same as Sookie/Bill). Sookie/Alcide was the ship that wasn’t. Then, in s6, MH and ultimately BB take advantage of AB putting Sookie/Eric on the back-burner to erase them completely from the show, does the pointless Sookie/Ben-Warlow detour, has Sookie try to get with Sam, conveniently erases Billith and ends Ben-Warlow in the first-half of the s6 finale, and then in the second-half, abruptly sets up the Bill/Sookie/Alcide triangle (with Eric in limbo suffering from the weenie roast and Sam supposedly settled with Placeholder Pregnant Nicole).

If Sookie/Sam is your intended endgame all along, then cool, Sookie/Sam is your intended endgame all along. Write it that way! I think BB is going to force Sookie/Sam in the last season, just like CH forced Sookie/Sam in the last book. The only seasons of TB that will matter are s1 and s7, just like the only books of the SVM that matter are DUD and DEA. Again, JMO. I just think an HEA should feel emotionally earned over the course of an ENTIRE series; not feel like the final piece of a puzzle coming into place.

They want us to think that Sookie becomes a vampire and spends forever with Bill. I think Sookie becomes full human and spends the rest of her life with Sam.

  22. Me too!!! Its either sam or bill no mystery here

  23. Well the bill show has mever interested me i simply dont find him an interesting character so i wont be watching

  24. Sookieandericarethe1thetrueluv,
I am glad you I don’t want to see Caledonia gets hurt. I don’t want nobody to get hurt like that. I known it’s your own opinion and I always respect that…I told you that I was like that, too. “Hope for the better, but fear for the worse”. 😉

I didn’t brought this up yet, I am concern that Sookie’ll end up with Hoyt instead Sam in the finale, because he mentioned Jessica in season 2 that he asked Sookie out that 1 time, but Sookie refused. i would see Sookie would end up with Hoyt as a normal life and forget about the supernatural world…Unless it’s all in Sookie’s head and she’s living in the nuthouse a whole entire time (Oh man, I hate some shows that ends like that beside cliffhangers)….Awhile back, I had a predicted that Sookie will live a normal life that she wanted with Hunter’s dad in the last book before it came out and she will adopt Hunter as being his stepmom….We never known how the show will end. There’s a lot of predictions out there, but I known Buckner and his idiotic writers are trying to hiding somethings…Please Lord,I hope I am right.

    • I meant I am glad you forgave me. 🙂 🙂 🙂

      • Yes, I forgive you, Shelli. 🙂 I think that Hoyt might be off the board as a romantic possibility for Sookie at this point, but Hoyt makes about as much sense to me as Sam, so why not? LOL. You’re right, Hoyt is full-human and Sam is technically a supe (who can pass for human), being a shapeshifter. But I still think it’s Sam on the show, just like the books. I heard other people guess that Book Sookie could have ended up with Hunter’s dad, so you weren’t alone. Take care. 🙂 🙂 🙂
